Golf simulator enclosures under $3,000, with the date on every price

Eight enclosures listed under $3,000 when we checked, from a $999.99 steel-frame kit to a $2,999.99 roll-up. Each price names the retailer it was read from and the date, each row gives the frame height and how the unit mounts, and the last column says who it is right for. Ours is in the table with the same scrutiny, including the rows where someone else is the better buy.

Two things to hold in mind while reading it. Sale prices are marked where the retailer showed a regular price beside them, and sales end. And none of these prices include a launch monitor, projector, or mat; Finish your bay prices those separately.

Which one is the best value if the room can stay a golf room?

The GoSports 10x8 at $999.99 is the lowest verified price for a complete fixed enclosure with a screen, and the SwingBay 8x10 at $1,999 is the strongest frame under $2,000. Neither folds, and for a dedicated room that is fine.

The GoSports is a steel-frame bay 10 ft 7 in wide and 8 ft high with an HD impact screen and foam padding, and the retailer says setup assumes a 9 ft room. At the price, it is hard to argue with for a spare room. The Carl's Place DIY kit costs a little more and gives you six sizes, four screen grades, and a frame you cut from hardware-store conduit, which is why the DIY crowd keeps choosing it. The SwingBay replaces the conduit with a 1.5 in aluminum push-button frame that goes up in about twenty minutes, and at the sale price it is the one we would point a friend to for a permanent bay.

The SIG8 wins one specific room: anything under 9 ft wide. At 8 ft 4 in wide it is the narrowest complete kit here, with the frame included. The trade is a 7 ft 7 in screen and a hitting position close to the side.

Which one is the best value if you need the floor back?

If you can drill the ceiling, the HomeCourse ProScreen 180 at $1,999 is the cheapest way to clear the floor completely. If you cannot drill, or the car has to park, StowGolf is the only freestanding option that folds, and it is not shipping yet.

The HomeCourse is a motorized screen that rolls into a ceiling-mounted housing with side netting that extends; it is not a full enclosure, and the wall mount for 9 ft ceilings or taller is sold separately. The SportScreen Vanish LITE 9 at $2,299.99 adds side curtains that slide back and pin, with the screen rolling up, from two mounting points on the wall or ceiling. The full Vanish 9 at $2,999.99 rolls the whole enclosure up, sides and ceiling panel included, and asks for a room 9 ft high and 17 ft long. All three stay with the house.

StowGolf stands on the floor, touches nothing, and folds flat: Flat against the wall: about 20 in off the wall on the factory sample as shipped (measured); production bases get a U-slot so the frames nest to an estimated 12 in, not yet measured. It plays at about 10 ft wide x 5 ft deep x 7 ft 6 in tall, and it moves with you. Those are the reasons to wait for it. The reasons not to: it costs more than every fixed kit here, the fold time on the factory sample is not published yet, and the first units land around early January if the order goes in on schedule. The build log shows exactly where it stands.

What does the frame height mean for your ceiling?

A frame that fits under your ceiling is the first test, not the last. Every maker here that states a ceiling asks for 9 ft, and the honest answer for most rooms is that the driver swing, not the frame, decides it.

Two enclosures here come in under 8 ft: StowGolf at 7 ft 6 in to the screen top and the Carl's 7.7 ft size. The GoSports and SwingBay stand at 8 ft, the SIG8 at 8 ft 4 in, and the mounted roll-ups ask for 108 in (9 ft) of ceiling at minimum. The 8 foot ceiling guide lays the heights out and gives a two minute test for your own swing, and the fit tool checks your numbers against the StowGolf bay in ten seconds.

Questions

Short answers.

What is the cheapest golf simulator enclosure?
Of the enclosures we could verify on a retailer's own page on October 12, 2026, the GoSports 10x8 was the lowest at $999.99 at GlobalGolf. It is a fixed steel-frame enclosure with an impact screen; it does not fold or stow.
Can you get a full golf simulator enclosure for under $2,000?
Yes. The GoSports 10x8 ($999.99), the Carl's Place DIY kit ($1,199.94 plus the conduit you buy), the SIG8 ($1,439.99 on sale), and the SwingBay 8x10 ($1,999 on sale) all listed under $2,000 on October 12, 2026. All four are fixed: they stay up. The HomeCourse ProScreen 180 at $1,999 is a retractable screen, not a full enclosure.
Which enclosures under $3,000 get the floor back?
Four of the eight stow. The HomeCourse ProScreen 180 and the SportScreen Vanish 9 roll up to the ceiling or wall and need drilling. The Vanish LITE 9 rolls the screen up and pins the curtains back, also mounted. StowGolf is freestanding and folds flat against the wall; it is not shipping yet.
Do the prices include a launch monitor, projector, or mat?
No. Every price on this page is the enclosure, or the enclosure and screen, only. A complete simulator adds a launch monitor, a projector, a hitting mat, and software, which runs from a few thousand dollars up. Our buyer's guide prices those in four tiers with the yearly subscriptions included.
Is StowGolf available under $3,000?
StowGolf lists at $2,495, with a $2,295 founders price on the first 25 builds, held by a $100 refundable reservation. It is not shipping yet; stock lands around early January if the order goes in on schedule. If you need an enclosure this month, one of the shipping products on this page is the right call.
