What does the $100 reservation actually buy?

A numbered build slot in the first 25, at the founders price of $2,295 instead of the $2,495 list, with the $100 credited toward the final invoice.

The waitlist is the door: free, for build updates and first look at the schedule. The reservation is the seat. Your slot number is your place in the build order, the first 25 units are built and shipped in reservation sequence, and reservation holders get the dated schedule before it is public. At unit 26, the price returns to list and there is nothing to reserve.

Is it refundable, and how?

Yes, any time before your unit ships. Reply to your reservation confirmation email, or email hello@stowgolf.com, and the full $100 goes back to your original card.

No restocking fee, no forms, no store credit. Card refunds typically post in 5 to 10 business days, which is the card network, not us sitting on it. If the ship window we announce does not work for you, one email gets the money back. The same policy is printed on the spec sheet: 30-day returns, no restocking fee. The $100 reservation is refundable any time before the unit ships.

What am I reserving exactly?

StowGolf Folding Golf Simulator Enclosure: the complete enclosure and the impact screen, in one kit at one price.

It plays at about 10 ft wide x 5 ft deep x 7 ft 6 in tall. Freestanding, no drilling. Folded: Flat against the wall: about 20 in off the wall on the factory sample as shipped (measured); production bases get a U-slot so the frames nest to an estimated 12 in, not yet measured. Not included: launch monitor, projector, and hitting mat (the buyer supplies these). The buyer's guide prices those in four tiers.

One-year limited warranty on the whole kit against defects in materials and workmanship, from delivery. Screen wear and ball marks are normal use, not defects. Every part is sold separately for as long as StowGolf exists. 30-day returns, no restocking fee.

The screen hanging in every factory-sample photo and clip is the founder's own Carl's screen, used as the bridge while the production screen is in test. There is no netting on the sample. Both are stated wherever the photos appear, and the build log carries every one.

When would it ship?

It ships January 2027, and by Feb 1 at the latest. Stock lands in Tempe around early January if the factory order goes in on schedule, and reservation holders get dates first.

Not yet shipping. The first factory sample was delivered October 8, 2026 and built and folded in Tempe on October 10. Stock lands in Tempe around early January if the factory order goes in on schedule, and dates are confirmed to reservation holders first. Your $100 stays refundable the whole way, so a date that slips costs you nothing but the wait.

Who am I paying?

Brett Martin, the person building it in Tempe, Arizona, through a Stripe checkout.

StowGolf is one founder, one factory sample in a garage, and a Stripe checkout for the $100 hold. Every clip on the site is real footage of our own units, and you can come see it fold in person. Who he is, and how the site is kept honest, is on the about page.

What is still unmeasured?

These have deliberately not been published as numbers. They go on the spec sheet when they are measured, and reservation holders are told either way.

  • Folded depth of a production unit (the factory sample measured about 20 in as shipped; the U-slot bases are an estimate of about 12 in until a production unit is measured).
  • The production unit's fold time (45 seconds on the July prototype is the only number so far).
  • Weight.
  • Impact test results.
  • Exact ship date: confirmed to reservation holders first (the window is January, by Feb 1 at the latest).
  • Owner reviews (no units have shipped, so none exist).
Questions

The reservation, answered straight.

Isn't this just pipe-and-drape hardware with fabric on it?
Partly, yes, and we say so. The V1 stands start from proven pipe-and-drape hardware because it's the right freestanding base: field proven, stock sizes, no custom tooling, nothing drilled into your house. What you can't buy as a pole kit is the system built on it. A floating screen on elastic bungees at every grommet, decoupled from the frame, which is the documented fix for bounce-back. Fold geometry with witness-marked set points, so it folds in one motion and stands back up square. Cut-and-sew shell panels engineered to the frame. Theater Mode, where the screen stays standing when the bay folds. And one complete kit with a published spec sheet, support, and a person behind it. A $190 pole kit is poles. This is a bay.
When do I actually get it?
The first 25 ship in January 2027, by February 1 at the latest. Reservation holders get the dated build schedule first, before it's public. Your slot number is your place in the build order, and your $100 stays refundable the whole time: if the window we announce doesn't work for you, one email gets it back.
Why pay $100 when the waitlist is free?
The waitlist is the door: free, for build updates and first look at the measured numbers and the schedule. The Founders Reservation is the seat: $100, refundable, one of 25 numbered build slots at the founders price of $2,295 (list $2,495), and the $100 comes off the balance. Slot number is build order. The first 25 units get built and shipped in reservation sequence, with a direct line to the person building them. At unit 26, the price returns to list. If you just want to watch, the list is enough. If you want a unit from the first batch, the slot is the only way to hold one.
How does the refund actually work?
Reply to your reservation confirmation email, or email hello@stowgolf.com, and we refund the full $100 to your original card. No restocking fee, no forms, no store credit. Card refunds typically post in 5 to 10 business days, which is the card network, not us sitting on it. Refundable anytime before your build ships.

What is the warranty, and can I return it?
One-year limited warranty on the whole kit against defects in materials and workmanship, from delivery. Screen wear and ball marks are normal use, not defects. Returns within 30 days, no restocking fee. The $100 reservation is refundable any time before your unit ships. Every part is sold separately for as long as StowGolf exists, so a torn panel or a bent crossbar is a part, not a new kit.
