Order 1, in public.
The first production order is 25 units, built to the spec agreed with the factory after the sample. This is where it stands: what has happened on which day, what happens after the order is released, what is confirmed and what is still open. It gets a new entry each time the order moves, and the release date lands here first.

Whatever you have paid stays refundable until your unit ships, so a date that moves costs you nothing but the wait.

What has happened, by day
Factory sample delivered to Phoenix
The first production-spec unit arrived in cartons by parcel carrier.
Built and folded for the first time
First assembly in the founder's garage, one person; deployed to the full bay, then folded flat against the wall. The dated log of that unit, with every photo and clip, is the build log.
Impact screen sample passed the strike test
500 strikes into the screen maker's sample. It passed, and that maker was chosen; it ships its screens to the frame factory so each set leaves as one order.
Final production spec agreed with the factory
One-piece shell panel, three padded gap-cover strips, four steel base plates (two with the U-slot so the frames nest when folded), 104 ball bungees a set. Two cartons a set.
The factory drafted the production order
The order for 25 sets, to that spec, drafted by the factory for our release.

Awaiting our release
Drafted with the factory, awaiting our release. When it is released this page gets the date; slot holders and the list are emailed first.
What happens after release?
About 4 weeks to build, about 5 weeks by sea and through US customs, then UPS in two cartons. The first 25 arrive in the new year.
| Step | About how long | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Build | About 4 weeks | The factory builds the 25 sets to the agreed spec; the screens arrive at the frame factory to go in the same cartons |
| Sea and customs | About 5 weeks | By sea, then through US customs. If you hold with the refundable $100, the balance is invoiced when the unit clears customs |
| To you | UPS, two cartons | Box 1 is the frame, the shell, the gap covers and the screen; box 2 is the four base plates in their carry bag |
Each of those steps gets a dated entry above when it happens. Slot holders and the list are emailed the dated schedule when the order is released, and again the day the first 25 land.
